Jim & Karen Vogelsang—Items Created for the CBC Auction

At the CBC auction a walnut coffee table sold for $900. I maze a bar out of a Spanish Colonial door 21” x 5’10” and Linda bought 2 bar stools and added a couple of bottles of good booze and it sold for $2000. I wish I had more mesquite doors They are 5 to 6” wide, 10 to 12” tall, with the smaller board 6 to 7” long. There are cherry, walnut, and hickory. When you plane the wood it brings out the flaws, the grain and distinguishing marks. You never know what you are going to get and I’m always surprised. Some people compliment me on the beautiful grain patterns and say II did a beautiful job and I have to say, the beauty was always there, I just brought it out.
