Dennis Layton Hobart entered into rest on Saturday, December 26, 2020. Beloved husband of Sandy I. Hobart (nee Graff); loving father of Todd Hobart, Kimberli (Richard) Hess, Karri Trenholm, Matt Hobart, Byrne (Pamela) Hobart, Todd Fyffe, Brad (Anne) Fyffe; cherished grandpa and great-grandpa; dearest brother of Tim (Donna) Hobart; proud uncle. Dennis leaves behind many treasured lifelong friends.

Dennis was a proud graduate of Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis and Christian Brothers College University in Memphis, TN.

Donations in Dennis' memory may be made for the hungry to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church (Soulard).

A Memorial Celebration was held June 26, 2021 in Our Lady of the Star Chapel at CBCHS, followed by a reception in Ross Hall.

We remember and pray for our Brother Frank Dittmeier, who died on August 8, 2020

Frank L. Dittmeier III, 79, died peacefully at Carnegie Village on August 8, 2020. Frank was born January 20, 1941 to Frank L. Dittmeier Jr. and Rosemary (Costello) Dittmeier. He was raised in St. Louis, Mo., went to Christian Brothers College for high school and received degrees from Washington University and Maryville College. He moved to Kansas City in 2001. He was employed by the Internal Revenue Service and retired in 2012.

After Frank completed active duty in the Air Force he served in the Air National Guard for 21 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister Holly Jordan (Rod) of Jonesboro Arkansas, and his brothers Bob Dittmeier (Barbara) of Richmond Virginia and Bill Dittmeier (Georgia) of Kansas City and many nieces and nephews.

Frank was a jack of all trades, he could repair anything and enjoyed collecting tools. Frank was an avid reader, history was his favorite topic. He will be remembered for his quick wit and unique sense of humor. His most enjoyable time was the time he spent with Joan Johnson, his best friend and traveling companion. They shared many happy times together, including activities with their wine club.

The family would like to thank the staff at Villa Ventura. We appreciate the care and support Frank received from the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder Center at the University of Kansas. We are particularly thankful for his caregivers at Carnegie Village and Asana Hospice Care for providing compassionate care in his final days.

A celebration of Frank's life and mass will be held at 10:00 am on August 20 at St. Elizabeth Church, 2 E. 75th St. Kansas City, MO 64114. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations in memory of Frank Dittmeier to the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder Clinic at Kansas University or by mail to the KU Medical Center Foundation c/o Dr. Kelly Lyons 3599 Rainbow Boulevard MS 3042 Kansas City, Kansas 66160.

We remember and pray for our Brother Paul Cox, who died on May 28, 2020

Paul J. Cox 79, peacefully passed away May 28, 2020 in Memphis, Tennessee. Paul was born January 20, 1941 to the late Paul and Almira Cox in Cleveland,OH as the oldest of 3 children. He graduated from Christian Brothers College High School (St. Louis) in 1958.

Paul served in the Army Reserves while pursuing a career in Kansas City. Paul had an illustrious and long career in the spice industry working for Durkee Foods(subsidiary of McCormick & Company) in Kansas and Texas.

After 20 years, Paul began a second career in self-storage until his retirement in Memphis, Tennessee.

He was passionate about cooking, BBQ, technology and veterans rights.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tallulah (Campbell) Cox; daughter Donna (Stephen) Nash; son Eric (Julie) Cox; grandchildren, Katherine (Nash) Purdham, Ann Bennett Nash, Elizabeth Nash, Stephen Nash, Matthew Cox and Taylor Cox; brother Christopher (Jennifer) Cox; nephew Evan Cox; sister-in-law Mary Cox and nieces Michelle Weintz and Jennifer Key.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Cox.

We remember and pray for our Brother Thomas (Howard) "Ty" Geraghty, who died on April l6, 2020, in Minneapolis, MN.

A De La Salle Christian Brother for 62 years, he was born on June 24, 1940 to Howard and Mary Virginia (nee Higgins) Geraghty.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Thomas. He is survived by his brothers Terrence (Susan), Timothy (Karen), Ted (Carol) and Tracy (Sandy), sister Mary Ann (Wayne) Alch and sister-in-law Claire and the De La Salle Christian Brothers. Per Brother Thomas' wishes, his cremains will be returned to his family and buried with his parents and sibling Thomas, at Lake St. Charles Cemetery in St. Louis.

Br. Thomas' family plans to hold a Memorial Mass at a later date.

Our brother Jack served as a Representative from Missouri; he was born in Kirkwood, Mo., June 4, 1940; attended parochial schools and graduated from Christian Brothers High School in 1958. Jack went on to receive an A.B., Benedictine College, Atchison, Kans., 1962; J.D., St. Louis University Law School, St. Louis, Mo.,1965. Jack Buechner and Andrea Dravo BuechnerHe was admitted to the Missouri State bar in 1965 and commenced practice in St. Louis County; real estate developer; member, Missouri house of representatives, 1972-1982; delegate to the Republican National Conventions, 1964, 1980, 1988; elected as a Republican to the One Hundredth and One Hundred First Congresses (January 3, 1987-January 3, 1991); unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1990 to the One Hundred Second Congress; president, National Republican Institute for International Affairs; and was a resident of St. Louis, MO and Washington, DC.

Jack was an engaging speaker, an omnivorous reader who made many contributions to the Goodreads booklovers site, an outstanding patriot and good friend to many of us.
